As the third largest air cargo airline in the US, AirNet focuses its business on time-critical delivery of small packages. AirNet owns a fleet of over 130 aircraft that can provide domestic overnight air transportation with the latest pickups and earliest deliveries in the industry. We also offer scheduled and on-demand charter service. AirNet operates 24/7/365 and our customer resource center is always available to assist customers with shipping and provide up-to-the-minute information about our customers’ shipments. About 70% of AirNet’s customers are in the life sciences industry (blood, tissue, organs, cord blood, diagnostic specimens, etc.) where on time performance is critical (sometimes even a matter of life and death). The on time performance of our airline is superior, averaging 99.2%.
Why we’re Chamber Members:
We are Chamber Members because we want to network with the greater Columbus business community and perhaps attract new customers.
Fun Facts about AirNet:
After 9/11, we were the first aircraft (other than military aircraft) permitted to fly. We transported blood for the Red Cross to Ground Zero. We also regularly operate charter flights from the West Coast to the East Coast to transport kidneys and other vital organs for transplant. That’s very rewarding knowing that our transportation service is supporting the gift of life.
Featured Product/Service:
Time-critical delivery of packages with transportation by our own airline (also known as ANX or AirNet Express). Our airline excels at delivering critical shipments on time. We beat other carriers by providing the latest pickups and earliest deliveries in the industry. Our on time performance is superior at 99.2%, which the commercial airlines can’t even come close to matching. We can also assist in service recovery which we’ve done frequently in the past.
Two years ago, during severe winter weather when several airports were closed, we launched an aircraft to fly into a smaller airport nearby and recover a customer’s important package that was stranded by the commercial airlines and deliver it on time. Our operations network is a closed loop system, so we are able to provide higher levels of security and persistent chain of custody – these features are essential to many of our customers who have shipments that absolutely can not be lost.
