D+S Distribution Inc. is a privately held company with Wooster, Ohio ownership (Bill DeRodes, Jon Ansel and Kevin Trent) which began in 1986 as a local regional transportation provider for Rubbermaid and Volvo. The company has evolved to providing extensive supply chain service solutions optimized by technology to local, national and international companies including Stanley Electric, Limited Brands, ADB Lighting, Maco Pharma USA, Nordic Light America, Wooster Brush, Tekfor, Luk, International Paper, Artiflex (Worthington Industries), Honda of America, Lincoln Electric and many more.

Recently, D+S Distribution has made several Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio acquisitions which have expanded the warehouse and transportation divisions. Columbus facilities to respond to the continual growth. Daniel Logistics of Columbus was acquired by D+S Distribution in 2009 to enhance service to the retail fashion industry. Currently, with acquisitions, D+S has 150 employees throughout Ohio and over 3 million square feet of warehouse space. Warehouse space grows for D+S by purchasing and leasing re-purposed or abandoned manufacturing facilities and converting them to high-end functioning buildings.
D+S Distribution’s longevity is a testimony to anticipation of the marketplace and understanding that the original model of a regional transportation provider in 1986 for two customers would evolve to a wide variety of customers throughout the state of Ohio with no customer representing more than 10 percent of our business. Without this business decision, D+S would not be here today.

Having celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2011, D+S is proud of its most recent visit by Dr. Gordon Gee to see the newly developed Ohio State prototype development facility in one of our Wooster facilities as part of BioOhio development. Other awards include: 2011 Outstanding Performance from Stanley Electric and Honda of America; 2010 Medical Mutual Pillar of the Community Award; 2010 Excellence in Economic Development, Jon Ansel; 2009 Wooster Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year.
