Member Spotlight: Franklinton Board of Trade

The Franklinton Board of Trade has been in existence since 1904.  Franklinton has a very rich and varied history.  The Board of Trade was instrumental in helping the community through good times and bad over the last 106 years. The main focuses then and now are community pride / beautification, local business development, and regional business health.  The FBOT is the Chamber of Commerce for Franklinton Businesses, which is most simply defined as (east and west) West Broad Street from the Scioto River to I-70 West and (north and south) McKinley Avenue to Mound Street.

Why We Are Columbus Chamber Members: The Franklinton Board of Trade has become a member of the Columbus Chamber to take advantage of the amazing networking and educational opportunities being offered. The FBOT has a need to retool and gain new membership and also retain current membership. We feel that it is a top priority to identify and promote “value driven” reasons to become or stay a member.  This membership should be viewed as an investment, and with any investment there is an expected return.  The partnership with the Columbus Chamber is a good way to deliver that kind of value. The credibility and track record is indisputable, our only job is to correctly market the partnership to our members.

Fun Facts the Franklinton Board of Trade: We are a young, energetic staff of only two people, but we love music, art and having fun.  Expect any of our events to include all three in some way or another.

Featured Product / Service: What we are planning to do for the Franklinton neighborhood is nothing short of recreating it.  We are trying to give businesses already here reasons to stay and grow, and we are trying to attract new businesses to jump in on the front end of the inevitable revitalization of this community.  We listen well to businesses needs and try to match them quickly and efficiently with solutions.
